Solution Selection

Choose the Right Tech Solution for the Needs of Your Organization

Our PRS Method for solution selection provides a structured approach to decision making that begins with understanding your business, processes, and needs in order to specify criteria. It concludes with the procurement of a solution that has been quantified to meet the needs of the organization. With so many choices available to meet your organization’s needs, it is important to ensure you begin with an accurate basis for comparison. iTeres believes building this solid foundation greatly improves after-implementation satisfaction. We can work with you to define specific criteria from more general business needs or strategy. After you know your needs, you must negotiate your options. We have the knowledge and experience working with both the technology and vendors to help you effectively navigate the offered solutions.

1.
Process Analysis

The applicable business processes and technology systems to be replaced or deemed to have potential programming changes based on integration points are identified in this phase. The right technology solution(s) enables business processes and data to move across systems and functional areas. The processes and systems identified here form the foundation of the evaluation criteria for determining the viability of potential solutions.

2.
Requirements Definition

A comprehensive set of functional and technical requirements are developed using the processes and systems identified in the previous process. Requirements gathering exercises are conducted with key business and technology stakeholders. This information is then transformed into a set of formal requirements that are prioritized and weighted to be used to measure and compare possible solutions. These formal requirements create a second dimension or measurement point for evaluating potential solutions.

3.
Solution Evaluation

The processes and requirements form a quantitative model that is used to determine the percentage of fit that a potential solution has. Its flexible structure can accommodate evaluating packaged solutions or assess custom development models for solution development. Optional services are available in this phase, including RFP development, assistance with response evaluation & scoring, conducting reference checks, and contract negotiation support.

4.
Implementation Services Evaluation

This phase can be conducted separately or as part of the Solution Evaluation. Choosing the right implementation partner is critical to getting the expected value from the technology solution chosen. The evaluation criteria are focused around implementation methodology, ability to demonstrate knowledge & experience with the technology solution, and if applicable, industry specific knowledge required for successful implementation
